Giselle Melo founded Matr Ventures in 2023
Giselle is a former founder, tech, and capital markets leader with one exit and a 13-year track record leading software systems and machine learning design and engineering across multiple sectors.
For eight years, Giselle was Co-Founder and CEO of NicheeLabs, an engineering and systems design corporation with a presence in North and South America.
During her tenure, Melo's team was the tech partner of a leading Canadian family office, operator, and investor. Her team custom-built V1.0 of ShipperBee, a logistics system acquired before it hit the market. This same family office became the anchor investor in Matr Ventures.
Prior to starting Matr Ventures, Giselle was a Partner and Head of Investment Banking at Toren & Associates, with over 5 Billion in buy/sell transactions for the wealth management industry, including Banks, Private Wealth, Institutional firms, and family offices.
In 2016, having built a scalable technology company and experiencing challenges accessing funding, Melo is now looking for Founders with a Mamba Mentality building the next Anthropic or Proton.
Giselle is passionate about economic empowerment through entrepreneurship for TheCulture, women in STEM, and the Arts.
